Panama Finca Lérida – “Loma” Lot – Washed Gesha
This beautifully structured Gesha coffee comes from the Lérida Estate, owned and managed by the Amoruso Family, and grown at 1,800 meters above sea level in the Alto Quiel region of Boquete, Panama. The lot is named “Loma”, after a small hill located on the left side of the estate—an area known for its ideal microclimate and nutrient-rich volcanic soil.
Once harvested, the ripest cherries were carefully selected using flotation, then depulped and placed in fermentation tanks overnight to allow the mucilage to break down in a controlled environment. The following day, the beans were washed and sun-dried on African raised beds for 16 days under direct sunlight, encouraging a clean and vibrant cup.
Cup profile:
A classic Gesha expression, with refined florals, bright citrus, and stone fruit. Expect notes of jasmine, bergamot, and peach, with a crisp finish and elegant sweetness.
Body & Acidity:
-
Body: Silky, light to medium
-
Acidity: Bright and citric, yet balanced
Recommended brew method:
Best suited for filter brewing (e.g., V60, Kalita) to showcase its clarity, floral aromatics, and delicate complexity.
