Hacienda Cañas Verdes – Abu Coffee – Geisha Washed Submerged GW-3275
This exquisite Gesha coffee is produced at Hacienda Cañas Verdes, managed by José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman in Boquete, Panama. Nestled at high elevation and nourished by rich volcanic soil, the estate benefits from cool mountain breezes and pristine spring water, providing ideal conditions for cultivating world-class Gesha.
The cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness and meticulously sorted for quality. Processing involves an anaerobic submerged method: cherries are pulped and “dry fermented” for 72 hours in GrainPro bags submerged in mountain spring water, allowing complex fruit and floral notes to develop. After fermentation, the beans are fully washed with clean spring water and then sun-dried on raised African beds for 15 days, ensuring balance and clarity in the cup.
Cup profile:
An elegant Gesha with floral brightness and layered fruit. Expect notes of jasmine, nectarine, orange, green grape, bergamot, lemongrass, and honey, with hints of sugar cane. The cup is juicy, citric, and exceptionally well balanced.
