Janson Coffee – Alpes 770 – Washed Gesha
This distinguished Gesha coffee originates from the Los Alpes plot of Finca Janson, a renowned family-owned estate in the Volcán region of Chiriquí, Panama. Grown at approximately 1,650–1,750 meters above sea level, the Alpes 770 lot benefits from mineral-rich volcanic soils, steady mountain winds, and cool nights that slow cherry maturation, resulting in exceptional flavor clarity.
After selective handpicking, only the ripest cherries were chosen and subjected to flotation sorting to ensure the highest quality. The coffee was then depulped and underwent a controlled wet fermentation to gently break down the mucilage. Following fermentation, the beans were thoroughly washed with pure spring water and laid out to dry on raised beds under the sun for 10–14 days, with regular turning to achieve even drying and preserve the Gesha’s refined aromatics.
